This edition of the IGC webinar featured an engaging conversation with Mr. Rajesh Rathi, Chairman and Managing Director of Sudarshan Chemical Industries Limited, a listed promoter-led company that has evolved into a global leader in color solutions. Sudarshan’s recent acquisition of Germany-based Heubach Group —a 200-year-old global pigments leader headquartered near Frankfurt, one of Europe’s key chemical and trade hubs—marks a milestone for the industry. Presently, Sudarshan has 19 production sites, across 11 countries, and serves customers in more 120 countries with a strong presence in India. Following the deal, Sudarshan established a second headquarters in the Frankfurt area. The deal strengthens Indo-German business ties and cements Frankfurt’s role as a bridge for innovation and market growth in the colorant industry.
Mr. Rathi holds a B.E. (Mechanical) from MIT, Pune; a B.Sc. (Chemical) from Ohio University, USA; and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, USA. With over three decades of leadership at Sudarshan, he has been instrumental in driving the company’s global ambitions.
