Dr. Sandra Barteit, a researcher with expertise in Computational Data Analytics and Linguistics, applies AI and Machine Learning techniques to enhance health outcomes, focusing primarily on digital global health. With her doctorate from Heidelberg University, she leads the Blended Learning in Zambia (BLiZ) project, using digital technologies to bolster medical education. Her habilitation delves into efficient data generation, analysis, and management for population health research in sub-Saharan Africa. She researches population health cohorts in Burkina Faso and Kenya, exploring digital technologies, including wearable devices, for data generation and the use of graph databases for organizing highly relational health data. Dr. Barteit's work, bridging data generation and research insights, informs policy-making and interventions in the face of climate change, aiming to improve health outcomes in sub-Saharan Africa.
