Roberto Villalba is a Doctoral Candidate and Research Associate at the Chair of Agricultural Production and Resource Economics at the Technical University of Munich. His research focuses on enhancing financial inclusion for smallholder farmers from the Global South. For this, he explores the role of different drivers in access to finance, including digital technologies, value chains, and climate change. He has experience working in agricultural development and research projects with smallholders in Latin America and South Asia.
