Jibu Elias is an AI Ethicist, Researcher and the leading expert on India’s AI ecosystem. He is the Chief Architect and the Research & Content Head of INDIAai -The National Program on AI by the Government of India and Senior Fellow for Responsible Computing at Mozilla. He is a member of the OECD’s Working Party on AI Governance (AIGO), member of World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on AI and one of the Founding Editors of Springer’s AI and Ethics Journal. Jibu’s work currently focuses on building a unified AI ecosystem in India, closing the digital divide created by technologies such as AI and well as in creating more inclusive AI ethics and governance guidelines . He is an alumnus of The London School of Economics, where he studied International Relations with a specialisation in Sino-India relations.
