Ambika Vishwanath is the Co-Founder and Director of the Kubernein Initiative, an India-based female-founded geopolitical advisory set up in 2019. Ms. Vishwanath leads Kubernein’s flagship initiative on examining the potential for greater inclusivity and gender mainstreaming in India’s foreign policy, trade and security in the Indo-Pacific and other projects. She is a water security and conflict resolution specialist and has lead track two diplomacy efforts and consulted with governments and international organizations, both in India and around the world (MENA region, South Asia and Europe) for close to 20 years. Her field work includes Senegal River Basin, Nile River and Lake Victoria Basin, Brahmaputra and Tributaries, Tigris River and other smaller rivers in Turkey, Jordan River, Lower Mekong River, Rhine and Danube and tributaries. Ms. Vishwanath focuses on the nexus between foreign policy, water security, conflict and diplomacy. She also works in the space of new emerging concepts of multilateralism and creating a better understanding of the rapidly changing landscape of India. She writes regularly and has been published in close to 50 global and Indian publications.
