Ambika has over 14 years of expertise in international and Government affairs through her previous advisory role in the German Diplomatic mission. She has worked as Senior Advisor for Political and Economic Affairs at the German Consulate General in Bangalore, where she was actively involved in various economic cooperation and initiative projects between Germany and states of Karnataka and Kerala to strengthen Indo-German bilateral relations. In her current role as the Chief Representative for NRW Global Business, she promotes the economic, trade, and investment relations between the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, and India. NRW Global Business GmbH in India is the Trade & Investment /Economic Development office for the state of North Rhine Westphalia. This office is sponsored and supported by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitization and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. North Rhine Westphalia (NRW) is the German State with major cities like Dusseldorf, Cologne, Aachen, Dortmund, Bonn etc. Being Germany's leading business location, with 22,000 international and more than 700,000 SME’s - the state provides an excellent ecosystem for the Indian companies to explore the German as well as global market and expand their business operations in Germany and beyond. On the Research & Academia front there are 70 Technical Universities, 14 Fraunhofer Institutes, 12 Max-Planck Institutes and German Aerospace Centre (DLR) in this region. In 2022, Ms. Ambika has helped many Indian companies (major as well as SMEs) from various sectors such as IT/ICT, Renewable Energy, Healthcare to start their operations in NRW, Germany. Also as GINSEP Ambassador, she promotes, supports and connects the Start-up Ecosystem between NRW, Germany and India. She is an Electronics Postgraduate and has completed C1 level of German Language from Goethe Institute.
