Managing Board

The Managing Board of the Indo-German Centre for Business Excellence consists of four members. The Chairperson is the President of Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. He or she appoints the Deputy Chairperson. The Membership Assembly of the IGC elects two additional members for a two-year term.

Prof. Nils StieglitzChairman

Professor Stieglitz is the President and Managing Director of Frankfurt School of Finance & Management since 2018. In 2012 he became a full Professor for Strategic Management at Frankfurt School. Three years later he became Head of the business school´s Management Department. In November 2017, he was appointed Vice President of Corporate Development, at which time he also joined Frankfurt School’s Managing Board. His primary research interests are strategic decision-making and organizational adaptation. His research was published in the leading academic journals such as Management Science, Organization Science, and Strategic Management Journal, among others.

Dr. Matthias CatónDeputy Chairman and Executive Director

Dr. Catón is the Director of Corporate Development at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. Before taking up his current role in October 2019, he served as Programme Director for the School’s Bachelor (BSc) in Business Administration for over eight years.
A political scientist by training, he has held international positions in various organizations, including academia, an intergovernmental organization, and the World Economic Forum. He is the founder and president of Professional Speakers Frankfurt, an association for advanced speakers in Frankfurt, the Rhine-Main metropolitan region, and beyond.

Dr. Gunjan BhardwajBoard Member

Founder & CEO at Innoplexus AG. Member of various AI Thinktanks, as well as a not-for-profit, focused on sustainability. Adjunct professor at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and Pforzheim University, Germany. Ex BCG, EY. Studied at IIT Bombay, MIT, Pforzheim University, and European Business School. 18+ patents related to AI and Blockchain. Published two books in branding and drug discovery, respectively, and a number of publications in Harvard Business Review, Journal of Service Research, MIT Sloan Review, etc. Capital – 40 under 40 award for Young Elite Award, Handelsblatt – BCG “Future Leaders of the new Reality“, Top 30 “Thought Leader“ Award, Germany

Lakshmi Lalita MohanBoard Member

Lakshmi Lalita Mohan promotes industrial cooperation and bilateral relations – trade, foreign direct investments, joint ventures, and technical collaborations between India and the EU, primarily promoting India as a trade destination. Her role as Head of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in Germany and France is to build strategic partnerships and maintain relationships with all stakeholders, including counterpart organisations and associations within Germany, France, and the EU. She is also responsible for opening and maintaining dialogue with scientific and research institutions, universities, academia, skills development bodies, and institutions of excellence in quality management and manufacturing.
Lakshmi Lalita studied German Law at the Universities of Münster and Bonn, Germany. She is currently doing her Master of Laws (LL.M) in Corporate Security and Compliance. Lakshmi Lalita Mohan is a member of the India Business Forum Executive Committee, an initiative by the Consulate General of India in Frankfurt. She is also an Ambassador of the Indo-German GINSEP programme, a joint initiative by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and Deutsche Startups Association.
