Chandrajit Banerjee is the Director General of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). CII is India’s apex industry organisation, proactively enhancing the competitiveness of the Indian Industry. Banerjee has been with the CII for over 34 years and has served as its Director General since 2008. In this post, he is responsible for the overall operations of CII. He is responsible for leading and contributing to many policy-level dialogues and discussions to enhance the competitiveness of India Inc and towards the development of India. Banerjee holds or has held trusteeship and board posts in many institutions which includes Institute of Economic Growth (IEG); Global Innovation and Technology Alliance (GITA); Bharatiya Yuva Shakti Trust (BYST); Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM); World Economic Forum (WEF) Global Agenda Council of India; Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC); and Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Prior to his appointment as Director General, Banerjee held several leadership positions in key areas including sectoral verticals of Manufacturing, Services, Agriculture, and Life Sciences as well as the SME sector.

After completing a trainee program at Banque Transatlantique in Paris, France, Eric Menges worked in logistics management at Transfield Construction Pty. Ltd. in Australia for one year. From 1988 to 1994, he studied Business Administration at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and graduated with distinction. After graduating, Eric Menges worked as Business Development Manager at Tricom Electronics Trading in Sulzbach for one year. In 1996, he began his career as Head of Investment Marketing for the Australian Government (State Victoria) in Europe. He restructured the European office in Frankfurt am Main from a purely representative office to a proactive, result-oriented investment marketing agency. After four years as an authorised representative, Eric Menges has been Managing Director of FrankfurtRheinMain since a strategic reorientation in 2013 and markets the FrankfurtRheinMain region worldwide.

Professor Stieglitz is the President and Managing Director of Frankfurt School of Finance & Management since 2018. In 2012 he became a full Professor for Strategic Management at Frankfurt School. Three years later he became Head of the business school´s Management Department. In November 2017, he was appointed Vice President of Corporate Development, at which time he also joined Frankfurt School’s Managing Board. His primary research interests are strategic decision-making and organizational adaptation. His research was published in the leading academic journals such as Management Science, Organization Science, and Strategic Management Journal, among others.

Lakshmi Lalita Mohan promotes industrial cooperation and bilateral relations – trade, foreign direct investments, joint ventures, and technical collaborations between India and the EU, primarily promoting India as a trade destination. Her role as Head of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in Germany and France is to build strategic partnerships and maintain relationships with all stakeholders, including counterpart organisations and associations within Germany, France, and the EU. She is also responsible for opening and maintaining dialogue with scientific and research institutions, universities, academia, skills development bodies, and institutions of excellence in quality management and manufacturing. Lakshmi Lalita studied German Law at the Universities of Münster and Bonn, Germany. She is currently doing her Master of Laws (LL.M) in Corporate Security and Compliance. Lakshmi Lalita Mohan is a member of the India Business Forum Executive Committee, an initiative by the Consulate General of India in Frankfurt. She is also an Ambassador of the Indo-German GINSEP programme, a joint initiative by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and Deutsche Startups Association.

Dr. Catón is the Director of Corporate Development at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. Before taking up his current role in October 2019, he served as Programme Director for the School’s Bachelor (BSc) in Business Administration for more than eight years. A political scientist by training, he has held international positions in various organizations, including academia, an intergovernmental organization, and the World Economic Forum. He is the founder and president of Professional Speakers Frankfurt, an association for advanced speakers in Frankfurt, the Rhine-Main metropolitan region, and beyond.

Jaskaran is pursuing BBA in International Management at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. With extensive experience living, studying, and working in five countries, namely Germany, India, the US, the UK, and the Netherlands, Jaskaran gained significant international experience and intercultural skills. He has worked at the World Bank, BNP Paribas, LBBW and Deutsche Bank. Jaskaran is interested in climate change, development finance, and intercultural cooperation. He recently delivered a motivational TED Talk and was conferred the Outstanding Personality Award by the Mayor of Frankfurt and the Frankfurt School Spirit Award.

During his time at Frankfurt School, Madhur gained international exposure by spending two semesters abroad. With work experience in consulting and management in the investment banking sector, Madhur is keen on entering the corporate world to represent the Indo-German opinion.

Nina Tauber is in her second year of her Bachelor in Business Administration with the concentration International Management at Frankfurt School. She has been very interested in politics and therefore joined the student initiative Economic and Politics, which she now leads. She has organized multiple events with well-known politicians such as Peter Beuth, Peter Tauber, and Sigmar Gabriel throughout her studies. With her interest in international affairs and her two upcoming semesters abroad, Nina is keen on learning more about India and Germany's political, economic, and social relations.

S. Ramakrishna (Rama) Velamuri is Professor and Dean of the School of Management, Mahindra University. He was previously Chengwei Ventures Professor of Entrepreneurship at the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), on whose faculty he served for nearly 14 years (2007-2021). At CEIBS, he discharged several administrative roles: Chair of the Strategy and Entrepreneurship Department, Chair of the Research Committee, Academic Director of the Global Executive MBA, and member of the Executive Committee of the Faculty. He has also been on the faculty of IESE Business School in Spain for four years (2003-2007) and has been a Visiting Professor at the Indian School of Business, the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, Bocconi University, and the International Anti-Corruption Academy Austria.

Dr. Amit Telang joined the Indian Foreign Service in 2005. After graduating from Government Medical College, Nagpur, he completed his M.D from the same institution in 2003. He served as a Lecturer before joining the Indian Foreign Service in 2005. He has also served as a Medical Officer in a remote tribal district in Maharashtra that provided him some first-hand experience of different tribes in Central India and an insight into their rich traditions, customs, and culture. After joining foreign service, he worked briefly in the External Publicity Division of the Ministry of External Affairs, dealing with international media liaisons and managing high-level visits. He was posted to Embassy of India, Berlin in 2007 and served there till 2012 as the Head of the Political Wing. During this period, he assisted in launching the India-Germany Inter-governmental Commission, opening a new chapter in Indo-German strategic partnership. He returned to India in 2012 to serve in the Human Resource Department of the Ministry and was part of the team that organized the 4th BRICS Summit in New Delhi and the 9th World Hindi Conference in Johannesburg. In 2014, he was posted as the Head of Economic & Commercial Wing in the Embassy of India, Moscow. During this period, India and Russia finalized some major bilateral investment projects, especially in the Oil & Gas sector and the strengthening of cooperation in transport, IT, customs, space, and vocational education. In 2017, he returned to India and after briefly serving as the Deputy Head of the External Publicity and Public Diplomacy Division of the Ministry of External Affairs, he was assigned the responsibility to serve as Director of the East Asia Division of the Ministry that deals with India’s relations with China, Japan, Mongolia, and the Koreas. In this new role, he was closely associated with India-China boundary negotiations.

Prof. Roland Koch has been Professor of Management Practice in Regulated Environments at Frankfurt School since November 2017; he also works as a lawyer in his own law firm. Roland Koch is a Member of the Supervisory Board of Vodafone Deutschland and Member of the Board of Trustees of the Peter Dussmann Foundation. He was Prime Minister of the state of Hesse from 1999 to 2010, chairman of the Hessian CDU between 1998 and 2010 and deputy federal chairman of the CDU between 2006 and 2010. After serving as Prime Minister, Roland Koch was Chairman of the Executive Board of Bilfinger SE from 2011 to 2014 and, from 2011 to 2021, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of UBS Europe SE. In October 2017, he was awarded an honorary doctorate by the Hanoi Law School. In September 2018, he received an honorary doctorate from the Law School of the European Business School Wiesbaden.

Rukmini Parthasarathy is a Development Banking Professional with expertise in multiple sectors, including microfinance, rural finance, urban infrastructure, and energy. In her over 20 years with the German Development Bank KfW, she has identified, developed, and executed German Development Cooperation programs in India, notably with Financial Institutions. As Deputy Director of the KfW Delhi office, Rukmini supports the Country Director with country strategy planning and portfolio management. She is responsible for coordinating with the Indian Ministry of Finance, the nodal partner for German Financial Cooperation with India. She also functions as the resident economist, providing macroeconomic updates and inputs for the country rating exercise. Rukmini has a master’s degree in economics from the Delhi School of Economics. Before joining KfW, she worked as a business journalist.

Werner Steinmüller has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Bank Italy Spa since June 2020. Previously, he was the CEO of the APAC region from August 2016 and, in this role, a member of the Management Board of Deutsche Bank, based in Hong Kong. From 2004 to 2016, he led the Global Transaction Banking Division. Focused on payments, trade finance, securities settlement and short-term lending business for corporate clients. From 2009 to 2020, he was also a member of the Group Executive Committee. Previously, he was the COO in the Global Transaction Bank, Head of Global Banking Division Europe and Co-head of Corporate Finance Germany. Between 1979 to 1991, Steinmüller held various positions at Citibank in Frankfurt, with his final assignment being Co-Head of Corporate Finance Germany. He studied at the Technical University of Darmstadt, graduating with a degree in industrial engineering. For many years, he was a member of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Postbank, including three years as Chairman.

Afschin Gandjour is a medical doctor, health economist, and philosopher. His research focuses on cost-effectiveness analysis, decision modeling, and value-based pricing of pharmaceuticals. Gandjour received an M.D. from Hannover Medical School in Germany, an M.B.A. from Duke University, a Ph.D. in health economics from the University of Cologne in Germany, and an M.A. in philosophy from the University of Düsseldorf in Germany. He held faculty positions at the University of Cologne Medical School, Baylor College of Medicine, and Louisiana State University Pennington. He ranks in terms of research productivity among the top professors in business administration in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (#6 in 2012 and #12 in 2014 out of >2000, according to a ranking by the newspaper Handelsblatt).

Dr. Christian Garbe has been the Managing Director of the FIZ Frankfurt Biotechnology Innovation Center since its founding in 2002. He completed his studies in agricultural sciences at Georg-August University in Göttingen and earned his doctorate in 1996 with an emphasis in economics and social sciences. Subsequently, Dr. Garbe began his professional career at Novartis in Basel, where he assessed the potentials of biotechnology for product developments. After transitioning to DZ Bank in Frankfurt, he analyzed pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies there and successfully managed a biotech fund. Dr. Garbe has special expertise in linking the financial, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology sectors. Under the management of Dr. Garbe, FIZ has established itself to be the place where scientific ideas and projects are globally moved from mind to market. The focus of his work is on the development of international business models and innovative, data-driven technologies, aiming at creating solutions for personalized health. In doing so, he consistently implements the megatrend of digitalization and the topic of industry 4.0, in which processes are digitized in a platform-based manner and used in practical applications.

Hrishikesh Kulkarni is a medical doctor from India with a specialization in Pharmacology. Currently, he is working at Fresenius Kabi in Germany as Senior Vice President, Public Affairs and Advocacy for the Business Unit of Parenteral Nutrition, Keto-analogues and IV Fluids. Over the last 26 years, Dr. Kulkarni has worked for Fresenius in various positions in Germany, Hong Kong, and India. Before that, he worked in other pharmaceutical companies such as Sun Pharma and Sarabhai in India and taught as a lecturer at his alma mater, Byramjee Jeejeebhoy Medical College, Pune, India. He acts as a communicator between the company and various external stakeholders such as opinion leader clinicians, academia, government agencies, and policymakers in his current role. He has about 48 academic publications in clinical nutrition, nephrology, oncology, and critical care medicine.

Indranil Mukherjee has been the Managing Director of B. Braun Medical (India), Ahlcon Parenterals (India), and Oyster Medisafe since 2017. Mr. Mukherjee is a dedicated and accomplished leader with a great depth of sales and marketing and business development experience at the global, regional, and local levels for more than two decades in the healthcare industry. He gained a significant part of this experience with B. Braun from 1997 onwards, and he has since managed the company's Hospital Care, Outpatient Market, and Aesculap (Vascular) portfolios. Mr. Mukherjee transferred to the company's headquarters in Germany to assume the role of Global Sales Manager in 2010. Upon returning to India in 2013, he was named the Country Head for Hospital Care and Outpatient Market products, before relocating again in 2015 as Regional Head for Hospital Care division at the Asia Pacific headquarters in Penang, Malaysia. In 2017, he relocated to lead the three group entities in India as Managing Director. Mr. Mukherjee is a board member at the Medical Technology Association of India (MTaI), Chairman of the European Business Group's (EBG) Healthcare Sector Committee, member of the APACMED India Exco, and an Executive Committee member at the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce.

Sindhu Gangadharan holds dual responsibilities at SAP. She leads the SAP User Enablement unit, and she is responsible for product development and innovation at SAP's R&D facilities across India. Sindhu is a member of the NASSCOM Executive Council and is one of the leading technology voices in the country. She is a member of the Steering committee of IGCC. She also serves on the Board of Directors at Utah-based Qualtrics International Inc, the Board of Titan Company Ltd, and the Advisory Board of Ever Loop by SAP.

Soumitra Bhattacharya has been associated with the Bosch Group for more than 26 years. A Chartered Accountant by profession, over the years he has handled roles as varied as Vice President, Commercial Functions for the Nashik and Jaipur plants of Bosch in India and also served as the General Manager of Robert Bosch GmbH’s Feuerbach Plant, the company’s largest diesel systems manufacturing facility and one of its oldest. He was the CFO of Bosch India from 2011 till 2018 and, since 2016 took over the CEO role. Soumitra continues as the Managing Director of Bosch Limited and the President of Bosch Group in India. As Managing Director of Bosch Limited, he handles a unique role heading the only publicly listed company in the Bosch Group worldwide. A firm believer in collaboration and the importance of teamwork in building innovative, future-ready organizations, Soumitra is currently spearheading a transformative initiative at Bosch India to ensure the organization becomes a leading provider of IoT solutions while leveraging its unrivalled expertise in operational and manufacturing excellence. The ultimate aim of this transformation initiative, named Lakshya, is to make Bosch India a tech agnostic provider of holistic solutions that are affordable and India-specific innovations. Soumitra has a keen interest in start-ups and new businesses – prior to Bosch, he had worked at the TATA group where he was one of the founding members of the Tanishq brand of Jewellery for the Titan Company Ltd. He also worked at INDAL, the core aluminum business of the ALCAN group, and he was also a founding member of its electronics business. Cross-cultural exchange and international relations between Europe and Asia have been areas where Soumitra has an active interest. He has been able to contribute positively to building stronger commercial ties between Europe and India when serving in executive management positions at Bosch’s facilities in Germany and Turkey. Soumitra has been appointed as chair of the CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) National Committee on MNCs. He is also a member of the Special Investment Promotion Task Force constituted by the Government of Karnataka. During his stints as Chairman (2013-2014) for the Karnataka State Council for CII in India and as Co-Chair (2017-2019) for Skills Committee-CII at the National Level and as a CII National Council Member, Soumitra has been able to further share his passion for business excellence, building agile corporate environments, economics and finance. He has also spoken and given lectures on these and other topics at some of the world’s leading management institutions and business forums.

In his role as the Global Head of Cybersecurity Office (CSO) at TÜV SÜD, Sudhir Ethiraj leads the global team of Cybersecurity within TÜV SÜD as an overarching function across the different divisions and international business units. He is responsible for driving TÜV SÜD’s transformation for being a trusted partner in areas of cybersecurity and digital trust business with a focus on developing a comprehensive service offering portfolio and driving TÜV SÜD’s exchange with political and industry bodies. He also leads the topic of strategic partnerships for TÜV SÜD’s Cybersecurity business. Next to his role as the Global Head of CSO, Sudhir also leads TÜV SÜD’s active participation at the Charter of Trust with 18 large industry partners focusing on achieving collaboration in cybersecurity and aimed at being the voice of the industry for cybersecurity. He also chairs the principal task force “Security by Default” in the Charter of Trust. Before joining TÜV SÜD, Sudhir worked at Cisco Systems in Germany, where he was a responsible consulting engineer for large banks and other financial institutions in Europe for data center, routing, and switching topics. He also was driving the strategic partnership for Cisco in the areas for a Deep Learning/Machine learning project with partners like NVIDIA, Google, and UnternehmerTUM. Sudhir holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering specializing in robotics and a Master of Finance from Frankfurt School of Finance & Management focusing on risk management.

Vahe Andonians is a serial entrepreneur and senior lecturer at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. Recently, Vahe founded a new startup - cognaize - specializing in the AI-based processing of financial documents. Additionally, Vahe is a partner alongside Moody's Analytics at Traidum, building a blockchain-based negotiation platform for trading Structured Credit products. In 2017 Vahe sold his latest startup - SCDM, an AI-based analytics company specialized in the fixed income market, to Deloitte. Having started as a data provider for investors in structured credit in 2003, SCDM had broadened its services from data management to bespoke IT solutions into reporting, business intelligence, and cash flow simulations for investors in structured credit. Early 2017 SCDM had sold its structured credit business to Moody's Analytics and was focusing on its valuation business, putting a value on over 40.000 financial instruments daily. Vahe was leading the product development and research arm of SCDM, with a strong focus on Machine Learning and Blockchain 2.0 technologies. Before that, Vahe has successfully founded, raised, and sold several start-ups in Machine Learning. Before that, Vahe was co-managing a Statistical Equity Arbitrage Hedge Fund for Erstebank in Austria. Vahe holds an Engineer title in information and high-frequency technology from the Federal Higher Technical Institute for Education and Experimentation in Moedling, Austria, and an MBA from the University of Liverpool, England.

Bernd Leukert joined Deutsche Bank on 1 September 2019 and was appointed Chief Technology, Data and Innovation Officer on 1 January 2020. Previously, he worked for the global software company SAP from 1994 to 2019 and has since held various positions and functions. From 2014 to 2019, he was a member of SAP's Executive Board, where he was responsible for Product Development and Innovation, and Digital Business Services.

Prof. Amrita Narlikar is the President of the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA) and Professor of International Relations. She also is an Honorary Fellow of Darwin College (University of Cambridge), a non-resident Senior Fellow at the Observer Research Foundation (ORF), and Distinguished International Fellow of the Indian Association of International Studies (IAIS). Before moving to Hamburg, she held the position of Reader in International Political Economy at the University of Cambridge. She was also a Senior Research Associate at the Centre for International Studies at Oxford from 2003 to 2014. Prof. Narlikar’s research expertise lies in multilateralism, international negotiation, WTO, and rising powers. Cambridge University Press has published her most recent book: Poverty Narratives in International Trade Negotiations and Beyond, New York: CUP, 2020. Her previous books include Bargaining with a Rising India: Lessons from the Mahabharata (co-authored) Oxford: OUP, 2014 and The Oxford Handbook on the World Trade Organization (co-edited) Oxford: CUP, 2012. The policy relevance of her research brings Prof. Narlikar into a frequent and close exchange with practitioners. She has authored several policy briefs (e.g. Munich Security Times, CIGI, Commonwealth Secretariat, Global Policy, etc.), and has had her expertise cited in a range of media outlets (e.g. Le Monde, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Der Tagesspiegel, Die Welt, Spiegel Online, Deutsche Welle, NDR, BBC, etc.).
